There must be 2, 3 or 4 components in the version string

I am getting the error "There must be 2, 3 or 4 components in the version string"

I have seen another thread that said changed VisualStudioVersion = 12.0.21005.1 MinimumVisualStudioVersion = 10.0.40219.1

and I did and it opened, problem is a few days it happens again, although I am not opening with VS2013 anymore, I'm just using Xamarin Studio.
