Hey Everyone!
I have been building some apps with Xamarin Studio on my macbook pro (osx 10.9, 2.3ghz i7, 16gb ram). For the most part it is a pleasant enough experience.
I am wondering if anyone else has run into constant crashing when building Android apps? If I open more than 5 or 6 axml (all at once or 1 at a time) and edit them it will crash. If I try to open them and edit the xml rather than use the visual editor, 1/3 of the time it will crash when I save. A lot of times the app becomes unresponsive and I have to force quit and reopen. I see PermGen Error on the screen a lot as well which means a crash is just around the corner. Is there some way to increase memory for the editor? Or maybe for java when its trying to render the screens? Is it better to edit the .axml in another program? I don't typically lose any work when it crashes but it is becoming irritating.
On a side note, when the app crashes, many of my files will appear inside one another inside the editor. They are forever stuck like this even if I move them to their correct location. The next time I open my project they get all snuggled up again. See the attached screen shot.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for yout time!
