I am new to Xamarin and just started the trial a few days ago. I have installed Xamarin Studio on my Mac Book Pro running Mountain Lion, then installed Xamarin under my Windows 7 Professional 64bit virtual machine (Parallels) on the same machine. Visual Studio 2012 can not see a build host. The Diagnose fails at 'Resolving Mac Server IP', so I type the IP of the Mac in manually (which I can ping from the Windows VM). Then when I try the diagnose it fails at 'Connection to Mac Server'. I have reinstalled Xamarin on the mac several times (not saying I did this perfectly as I might have missed something). I have also read other threads on this issues and it seems like the mtbserver is not running or installing correctly, but I don't know how to verify that. Also, the firewall is turned off on the mac.
