Hi guys I'm a long time MediaBrowser user but I have NO dev skills... I'm not sure if you've heard, but Media Browser has recently been rebuilt into a client-server architecture. The server has transcoding capabilities, metadata management, user profiles, recommendation engines, etc. It also has a publicly exposed api that we have used to attract developers (such as yourselves!) for a whole range of platforms:
- Android
- HTML5
- iOS 7
- Roku
- Windows Media Center
- Windows 7/8 (Htpc app)
- Windows Phone
- Windows RT
- Media Portal
Right now the server runs on windows
BUT
a linux port is in progress and OS X should also be accessible with mono. The development of this platform has been VERY rapid and has a VERY active and enthusiastic community, you can check the forums here
mediabrowser3.com/community/
So I'm here to see if I can drum up any support from potential developers who may have interest in helping out with new clients (smart TV's?) or help with existing development (Linux/OS X port).
Check us out on github.

I'll include a few screenshots in the next post to try whet some appetites!
I hope this is in the appropriate forum, I thought cross-platform was the best place to look and hopefully I haven't broken any rules by posting this!!
Cheers Guys
Lee
