I have looked at all the android documentation and at what other people have done but I am still getting confused! I am a bit new to this area of design.
I have an image I want on my app. I want it to fit all screen sizes and for all the resolutions (mdpi, hpdi etc.) For example, I have a fish.png, I want this image of a fish to be displayed on 7 inch tablets and on phones (around 4 inches or lower). Does this mean I have to create a fish that is two different sizes, one for the 7 inch tablet and one for the phones, and then create the resolutions for those two images? So in total I would have 8 images of the fish.
A better example would be I create a fish that is approx 1 inch for the phones and a 2 inch size fish for the 7 inch tablet. Then have 4 different resolutions for the 1 inch size fish (ldpi, mdpi, hpdi and xhdpi) and 4 resolutions again for the 2 inch fish.
Is this the way to do it? If it is then I would end up with a lot of fish images!
Any detailed help would be very much appreciated,
