Invalid License after upgrading from Trial License to Indie Edition

I just upgraded to the Indie Edition after my trial expired and now I get license errors that look like the screenshot in the attached file. I've googled and seen that a lot of people have this problem and often it ends with them contacting support. The problem with that is the Indie edition doesn't get access to support, so I seem to be stuck with a purchase that doesn't work and no recourse. Here is a list of things I have tried:

  1. Upgrade to beta version 4.12.1 - no change
  2. Downgrade to 4.10.2 - breaks my projects due to bugs in the PCL implementation
  3. Uninstall Android API 19 - no change
  4. Run Xamarin Studio as Administrator - Builds ok, but causes bug that when exception is thrown while debugging no message bubble appears, and not a desirable solution anyway
  5. Uninstall every bit of Xamarin off my machine, clean out droppings in programdata and appdata, and do a reinstall - no change

Anybody have an idea on how to chase this problem down? Or can someone from Xamarin contact me?
