The process all starts after launching VS and i see an a alert in my tool tray. "Your apple API is out of date. Click here to update".

Then I get this dialog: "Apple API Documentation is outdated. Do you want to update". bla, bla, I click yes,

Then it starts a long download of a file from the PC to the mac. I see this in the "Mac Server Log".

When the download completes, is starts to unpack this file on the mac. When VS updates the Mac IosLibrary.docset, it throws an exception.

This is apparently all taking place on the mac but the errors are being reported in VS.

Now VS is hung. If i try to File > Exit i get "The build must be stopped before the solution can be closed".

If i try to a Build > Cancel I get "The project xxxxx is not able to cancel deploying at this moment"

So, i have to kill devenv.exe it in process explorer. When i launch VS again, i have to go through the Build Host Pair bonding ritual, and now it asks me again if i want to update the Apple API documentation. Now older and wiser i say No.

I'm thinking of re-installing Xamerin Studio on the mac.

Suggestions???
