Hi All,
Hoping for some help! I was happily using Xamarin Android under Visual Studio but suddenly today my builds started failing saying that aapt.exe could not be found. Sure enough it was missing from C:\android-sdk\platform-tools so I used the Android SDK Manager to download the latest SDK. I then went back into Visual Studio to build my application but the build now fails as it says that java has exited with status 1. Looking at the build log it appeared that java / Xamarin was looking in C:\android-sdk\platform-tools for javac and other executables which were (now) in C:\android-sdk\build-tools. No problem I thought - check if there is an update to Xamarin Android which there was. Clicked to download and upgrade.
Now when I try to load the solution it ways that my license is for an older version - so why did it install a version for which I was not licensed! Now I am stuck as I don't even know which version I was running prior to the upgrade and it seems as though what-ever version that was doesn't work with the later Android SDK. Any ideas how I can
a) Get the Xamarin Android for which I do have a license and B) get my application to build using that version c) What changed today to cause the issue...
Thanks for any help as I 'm dead in the water with an application to release...
