I am new to android development so i am not sure if this question has something to do with xamarin or android so sorry for the "newb" question. Our application makes use of a SQL lite database on the phone which works fine. You can start and stop the application and the data is persistent. You can even restart the emulator and the data is still consistent. However when i deploy a new version from xamarin to the phone that data is removed. This means that every time i deploy a new version for testing i have to initialise all the data that has been lost which, depending on the area your developing, can take 5 to 10 minutes to configure again. Is there a way to stop this? I cant see anything in our code that would create a new database so i assume it is something in either xamarin or the simulator. Any help here would be great.
