HeapShot, 'misc root', and 'Track each object allocation'

My iOS app is using a lot of memory. I'm using HeapShot to look for leaks.

Most of the memory is associated with something called 'misc root', which I don't understand how to relate back to my code. Is there an explanation for misc root somewhere or some hints for tracking down the allocations associated with misc root?

Also, HeapShot has an option to "Track each object allocation". I've clicked a bit in the HeapShot UI but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to view this data. Any hints or ideas?
