Need more explanations about the "Incompatible target framework ..." issue

Hello everyone,

I'm a .Net developer and I'm learnig how to use Xamarin mobile application development. I'm working on MAC OSX (10.9.2) and I am using version 4.2.5 of Xamarin Studio I'm working on a little android application, and I intend to make an IOS version of it after (just to see how use cross platform code with xamarin). I've created a Xamarin.Android solution, with an Android project, and a few other libraries in it.

check the screenshot here : https://24.media.tumblr.com/1cf6e94e0a80af0534d7e6409d0c812d/tumblr_n5i9pikGEa1smgxf9o1_1280.png

My first issue was that I couldn't refers to my libraries from the Android project. I basically had the same problem as TonyCasey here :http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/3900/incompatible-target-framework-message-with-class-library-android

It seems like Xamarin Studio does not allows references to project class libraries from an android Project. (I thought that was the hole point of Xamarin, I was obviously wrong)

Still, I managed to add a reference to one of my libraries (as you can see in my screenshot), by first, typing the name of one class that was in my PCL, then rigth click on it and use the resolve option. And now it works fine, I can use my classes that are in my PCL from my android project.

But in my project references, my PCL is written in red, and I still have the same message (see the screenshot). My question is the following : Why is that ? Is this a bug of Xamarin Studio ? Or does this mean, it's a bad practice to use a PCL from an Android project ?
