My question is not technical but more usability or design. my apps first version had a main page with 10 buttons for all 10 functions(navigation pages) of the app. No Tabbed page, No master details page, very simple main page. I had fifty fifty installs /uninstalls for 5 months was going like that. Previously I changed with better main page with some images in horizontal listview with some highlights and moved all these 10 buttons in a masterdetail page. I am still getting regularly same counts of installs but uninstalls are more than half, Increased significantly. I dont experience increased count of crashes, performance decreases etc.
It makes me think that Android users see more navigations from main page directly instead of master detail page. Do we have to highlight master detail page. I thought it is not necessary as it is very common in Android. What do you people think about this? Does anybody have similar experience?
