Howto delete downloaded map data?

Hi,

in an taken over app, are map datas downloaded, unzipped and installed. My task is to delete all datas (like on android in the settings -> apps -> (Appname) -> settings -> delete datas).
How can i do that programmatically? Is there a possibility to do that platformindependant because the app runs on android and on iOS?
