XLabs Image Button Control Not Displaying Image

Hi I'm using XLabs Image Control , i'm not using any Nuget Package , as i need only that image control I pulled out all classes which are required for Image Button, Everything working fine But Image is Not Displaying ,i 'm using the following link

Just installed Xamarin. Open Xamarin Studio Create new Android Application. Hit run and get the following error:

I'm running ipad 3 (ARMv7 Architecture ) application using xamarin forms shared project. Getting below error

How to resolve this error

Storyboard does not load anymore after upgrading Xcode to version 9.1 (9B55)

After the update of Xcode to build 9b55 this morning my storyboard did not load anymore.

Xcode is too new
'This file has been edited in a version of Xcode which is unsupported by the designer. Documents saved in Xcode 9.1 format, or older, are supported.'

I did not even open the storyboard in Xcode Designer... I use the alfa channel 7.3 Build 708 of Visual Studio.
Is there anything that I can change in the XML of the storyboard to make it open in Visual Studio again ?

The storyboard starts with :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Would lowering the toolsVersion work ? If so, what would be a "good" version ?

Capture Build Commands That Are Used in Visual Studio for Mac

Is there a way to see/log the build commands that Visual Studio for Mac uses to build Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android projects?

I'm working on some automated builds in Jenkins and I'm running into some issues when using msbuild on a Mac (builds succeed, but incorrect configuration is being used and simulator builds won't install on a simulator). I want to compare my command line arguments with whatever Visual Studio for Mac is doing (builds work as expected from Visual Studio for Mac).

Hello,

I am getting the below error when I try to connect to Mac Agent from my Visual Studio, as I understand I need to update my MAC but since I am using macincloud.com option, I don't have permissions to update MAC. Is there a way to check the version on my Visual Studio and downgrade it to match with my MAC Version.

"The installed Xamarin.iOS (version 10.4) on the Mac xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is not compatible with the local Xamarin.iOS (version 10.8)"

Any help is highly appreciated.

After update VS 15.5 can't load MonoAndroidDesignerPackage, any workaround ?

Google Places autocomplete in Xamarin.Forms

Hello guys, im pretty new to Xamarin and I'm working with Xamarin.Forms.
My question is: how can I achieve a "Google Places search bar" in Xamarin.Forms? I don't need map integration, just like a textbox in a page with the autocomplete, working in both Android/IOS.

I have searched but i didn't find nothing useful.

Arrrrghh another update problem

I installed the latest update, now I get the error XamarinShellPackage did not install correctly and my project will no longer load (says it is incompatible). This is with VS2015 Pro also updated to the latest. Any ideas? I tried downgrading to Cycle 8 again and now it won't compile I just get a appt.exe exited with code 1

Hi,

I'm trying to learn UrhoSharp (hoping I'm not losing my time as the project doesn't seem very active).

Everything is going very well, after few days I can already do a lot of different things bnut I have a problem with custom models.

Every time I try to use a custom model, it will appear without materials/textures or not appear at all (I use Blender + the urho importer for blender)

Usually I download a free model from a site and then I import it with blender (I have checked the option to export & materials/textures) but until now no luck.

Yesterday I've tried to import a very basic model made with paint3d (no texturtes, only a color) and strangely it worked.

But then I tried to import a flower (available for free in Paint3d), and the result was crazy:

If I set the model without the material, I can see the model, of course without texture;

If I set the model with the material, I can see nothing.

If I use a standard model (cube, spere, etc) and apply the texture, I can see it.

So basically it seems that the combination custom model+ texture doesn't work.

What I'm doing wrong?

Which Graphics Library for simple (Poss 3D) drag and drop of objects

At the early stages of scoping a project which is a line of business app that requires a visual interaction element. Think warehousing / storage and we have pallets (boxes /rectangles visually) that need to be quickly moved around a floor plan, colour coded based on contents etc, this is to be done by touch drag and drop, and force press or similar pops up detail on the contents.

Visually I think this would look nicer in 3D, better represents the real world, but 2D floor plan style is feasible, I can sell the client on either. What I'm looking for is which graphics framework would allow me to do this most easily, cross platform, within Xamarin Forms - basically where would you go? Urhosharp, Skiasharp, some other? Or would I be better off doing it the older way and building shared core and 'Native' Xamarin UI applications for iOS and Android.

Am comfortable with all elements other than the graphics side, so don't really have the time scales to go off in the wrong direction. Advice and gotchas appreciated.

I am trying to get the image name from a picture selected from the gallery, I get tyhe image because I do see it on my screen after.

I get the reference URL and it enters the if statement sets the AssestsLibrary variable but skips the
assetsLibrary.AssetForUrl(referenceURL, delegate (ALAsset asset)
code. What am I doing wrong. Aso can this format be used for after I takre a pic from a camera?

Programmatically Display Magnifier on Device Running in Kiosk Mode?

We’re a special needs school developing an app that will run in kiosk mode on a Corporate Owned Single Use tablet device. The device will be used by staff members and while we don’t currently have any visually impaired users, we’d to include an option to display the magnifier accessibility aid. Does anyone know if it’s possible to do this programmatically?

Is it possible to remove a bound label if it is empty?

I have a program that generates a list of StackLayouts with nested layouts/objects, and one of the objects is a Label that may or may not contain text. In my ViewCell, I set the default text to "", but it's included in the layout. In my ContentPage, I create a dummy list to test, and if I don't change that Label, it still takes up space and looks awkward. Is there any way to remove the label if it's empty (if == "")?

ViewCell:
Label Description = new Label(); Description.Text = ""; Description.SetBinding(Label.TextProperty, "description");

Data Class:
public class dataClass { public string description { get; set; } }

ContentPage:
`List itemList = new List();

        var entry1 = new dataClass() {
                ...
                description = "hello",
                ...

        itemList.Add(entry1);

        var entry2 = new dataClass() { // don't change the description so it's left as ""

So in this case, entry2 has an empty Label but still takes up as much space as the Label in entry1. I would prefer to have that Label not exist if it stays empty.

****appleid**** is my apple id email address and ****team**** is my team name.

I have tried to reinstall fastlane and have also tried reinstalling VSMac with no change.

I have tried all the trouble shooting things listed here:
https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/cross-platform/macios/apple-account-management/

I can see that the error could be related to the known issue of the VS window not getting focus back, but I have tried now several times as suggested and it still does not work.

I know that I have to enter my computer login credentials when the deliver.* dialogs popup and just click allow all, I am doing that.

So is this a bug or am I doing something wrong ?

Upgrade VS 2017 and getting errors.
