Repeated Local notifications in Xamarin.Forms

Hi,

We need to show local Notifications (repeated) by every 30 mins or 45 mins from PCL project to support Android & iOS Platforms.

We are from Xamarin Android Platform and we have used the Alarm Manager Concept for this. Kindly Suggest if local notifications can be implemented in the PCL?

And if there is any examples which shows how to achieve this.
